Brewer's Story

Badass Beverages are turning big ideas into rad drinks that put a smile on your dial and high five on your tastebuds. If that sounds like a bit of you, make some space in your fridge! We bloody love beer: making it, drinking it, sharing it, talking about it, drawing choice pictures for the can it goes in. (We rather like other beverages too, but that’s a story for another day). Together, our powers combine as Badass Beverages – taking care of fizz’ness since 2021.

Tasting Notes

Another hard-hitter joins the ranks – Heavy Hands is uncompromising with hoppiness. This hazy IPA holds a punchy combination of NZ hops, with Rakau and Moutere as hooks left and right, followed by a body blow of Nelson Sauvin. Truly a combination that flows together with ease. Heavy Hands can leave a stinging across your face, or a bell-ringing for an amateur, but don’t throw in the towel, get to your corner & go another round!

Wake up early, get to work on time, I’m Adulting. Gotta save every dollar, every dime. I’m Adulting. Can’t eat lollies every day. I’m Adulting. Gotta keep an eye on what I weigh. I’m Adulting.  We know you have to adult sometimes. So we made this seriously hoppy Hazy IPA with Riwaka, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo and Idaho#7 hops. Massive fruit  without the massive alcohol so you can still adult if you need to.

Join the Good George social league! Expect a smooth mouthfeel and pineapple citrus aroma in a full flavoured hazy IPA. Bonus points, it’s low in carbs.   Social League Low Carb Hazy IPA (4.2%) looks hazy and pale yellow, and has aromas of pineapple, citrus, and hops. On the palate it’s dry with a soft bitterness and full mouthfeel.

Brewer's Story

Good George came to life after a bunch of friends got together and decided, after years in hospitality and brewing, it was time to create their own craft beer brand. Their main aim was to convert drinkers from the norm and show them how to enjoy fantastic beer.

Tasting Notes

Brewer's Story

Baylands was started back in 2012 as a small brewery based on Baylands Drive in Newlands, Wellington. We started the brewery in a double garage under the house with a 300L brewing system but quickly outgrew that space. The first Baylands beer was launched at Goldings Free Dive, a popular freehouse dive bar in Wellington in May 2013 and it’s been full steam ahead since then.

Tasting Notes

‘Out of style’ according to the rule books. Pils ‘n’ Thrills is the Garage’s irreverent take on the classic Bohemian Pilsner. German malts combined with American Summit hops create a refreshingly crisp, golden beer with a snappy bitterness and lifter lemon citrus notes. It’s definitely not your average pilsner, but then some rules were meant to be broken.

Brewer's Story

Garage Project was started by Pete Gillespie & Jos Ruffell with help from Pete’s brother Ian. When they started out they were brewing on such a small scale they could afford to take risks. Even now, that same ethos still shapes how they do things at the Garage. They’re still here to take some risks, to have a bit of fun, and to try something new.

Tasting Notes

Named after the Local Surf Break. Our Aotearoa Pale Ale, Fieldway breaks away from it’s traditional american style with fruity and zesty Nelson grown hops over a traditional pale, caramel base.

Brewer's Story

North End are a small team, producing beer in Waikanae, on the Kapiti Coast. Brought to life in 2013 by a trio of kiwis passionate about food, drink and the coast. Beer inspired by traditional European styles and brewed to capture the uniqueness of our land. Taking their name from Kapiti Island, where the aptly named ‘North End’ is most visible from Waikanae Beach.

Tasting Notes

The Sawmill original “Juicebox” now known as the Hazy East Coast IPA, was brewed nearly 5 years ago and is out in a 6-pack. Super juicy and tropical with punchy flavours of passionfruit, mango and orange.

Brewer's Story

Sawmill is an independent, New Zealand owned brewery run by a small and talented team. The Brewery was established in 2004 on the site of what was once a local timber mill established in the 1860’s. Our brewing is underpinned by this heritage of craftsmanship and tenacity. We appreciate our place. This raw landscape has a bearing on everything we do and people here are resourceful, creative and hardworking. In February 2016 we moved from the original site in Leigh, and we now work from premises just out of Matakana at 1004 Leigh Road.
