Sunshine Beers
Gisborne Gold Lager:
Enjoyed in the sun, since 1989. We called it Gold because it came first. Part local legend, part New Zealand icon – Gisborne Gold is a lightly hopped drop with solid malt backbone guaranteed to quench any hard-earned thirst.
Gisborne Green Pilsner:
Brewed for those wanting bigger flavour. Green has found a cult following amongst locals – and for good reason. Dry and crisp like a Gisborne summer, big citrusy hops play against each other in every flavour some drop.
Gisborne Back Milk Stout:
The black sheep of the Sunshine family, this luscious milk stout is a smooth, velvety blend of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla with roasted malt. Rich but balanced, this is a brew that demands to be savoured.
Rogue Wave IPA:
Rising from the depths is a Rogue Wave, our new core-range IPA. Like our previous IPA, the inspiration comes from tradition, but we have used Gladfield Supernova in place of Crystal Malt. The grain bill offers colour and depth without too much sweetness. A duo of Aussies hops Eclipse and Vic Secret lay down layers of pine, tangerine, papaya and melon. A lingering but unoffensive bitterness makes it an easy choice for a session.
Stockies Session Hazy IPA:
Drop into this extra special sessionable Hazy IPA. As accessible as its namesake surf break, Stockies combines power and depth with a citrusy twist to leave you feeling refreshed. Using a mix of Australian and New Zealand hops, this satisfying beer will have you hanging out for another set.
Pipeline Pilsner:
We threw together some Motueka, Riwaka and Nelson Sauvin hops to create a refreshingly modern Kiwi pilsner and the perfect palate cleanser after a long afternoon surfing The Pipe.
Feijoa Sour:
Crafted with fresh feijoas from Kaiaponi Farms, this vibrant sour is a taste of New Zealands backyard in a glass. Light, bright and full of zing, this is a feijoa fix like no other.
Italian Lager:
This time we land in Italy, ciao bello! Another crisp, dry hop hop-forward lager that takes inspiration from Tipopils. Saphir and spalter select provide the old-world bitterness and aromatics that make this style what it is. Enjoy another quaffer from the east coast, cin cin!
09 Sunrise Hazy Pale Ale:
Whether it’s cricket, rugby or pavlova, there will always be a cheeky rivalry between us and our brothers and sisters across the ditch. Whichever way your loyalty may fall, without fail, a good beer will bring us together. Whilst we might have better hops in New Zealand, we will raise a glass to Aussie cones as well, we brewed this beer with three of our favourites: Galaxy, Vic Secret, and Topaz.
Belgian Wit w Kawakawa, Hibiscus, Raspberry, and Guava:
Belgian Wit with Kawakawa, Hibiscus, Raspberry & Guava. Originally brewed for the 2025 Otto ExBEERimental Festival — where it earned 2nd place — this beer brings a creative twist to a classic style.
Sunset Beach Pineapple IPA:
Inspired by the legendary waves of Sunset Beach Port Waikato, where golden light meets rolling waves. This PineappleIPA is a tropical escape in every sip, bursting with juicy pineapple sweetness and a crisp malt backbone. A bright hop blend adds layers of citrus and stone fruit, balancing the brew with just the right amount of bitterness. Refreshing and full of island vibes, it’s the perfect way to end the day—no matter where you are
Bright NZIPA 2025:
A crisp and refreshing NZIPA, fully loaded with Riwaka, Peacharine, Nelson Sauvin and Moutere Hops with Nova Lager yeast! And our entry for the annual Smiths NZIPA competition!
DNA Beers
Hazy Haitian (x2)
Sunny and tropical, this hazy IPA opens with big notes of papaya and mango. Creamy and softly carbonated, it finishes gently bitter, like citrus peel rather than pine. A herbal lift keeps things fresh.
Hitman Hazy (x2)
Punchy citrus meets herbal intrigue. Think lemon, lemongrass, and a flick of thyme. High fizz and white pepper zip across the palate, with a pillowy malt base rounding it out.
Smashin Passion (x2)
A smooth, velvety number bursting with passionfruit. It’s rich and fruity without tipping into sour territory, creamy and smooth.
One Hop Wonder: Mosaic (x2)
A single-hop showcase with Mosaic in full bloom: blueberry, orange, and floral notes lead, backed by caramel malt. Complex and balanced, with just enough umami and bitterness to keep you coming back.
Left-Eyed Lucy Lager (x1)
DNA’s go-to lager: crisp, clean, and gently bitter. A delicate balance of dry malt and floral hops makes this an easy-drinking refresher.
Antsy Adam APA (x1)
Old-school meets new-school. Resinous and bold, with pine, mango, and tangello on the nose. A firm bitterness leads into a robust, hoppy finish.
Precious Pete Pilsner (x1)
Unfiltered and characterful. A biscuity malt body supports snappy grapefruit and herbal hops. Slightly resinous on the finish, but refreshingly dry.
Humble Harry Hazy (x1)
Thick and juicy with a creamy mouthfeel. Resin and green fruit mingle with a grassy herbal kick. Soft but assertive, hazy done DNA-style.
